Sunny But Cold . . . . .

Sunny But Cold . . . . .

Yesterday was a miserable day to be out and about.  We did have strong winds, up to 40 mph, and intermittent snow showers which made driving very hazardous.  Most of our snow is gone but some still remains in shady areas, like my deck.  With the sun out, it appears to be quite nice, but temps will remain in the 30s with wind chills in the 20s.  It certainly does feel like winter.  Christmas Day will feel more like Easter than Christmas with highs expected well into the 40s.

Our 3 PM temperature is 33°F (1°C), the humidity is 66%, and skies are partly cloudy.  Winds are from the SW at 6-13 mph and the wind chill is 25°F (-4°C).  The dew point is 21°F (-6°C), and visibility is 10 miles.  The pressure is 30.02 in (1016.6 mb) and falling.  Yesterday’s high was 40°F (4°C) and the overnight low was 26°F (-3°C).  Average temps for this date are 34°F/22°F.  Record temps for Dec. 19 are 50°F (2002) and 0°F (2006).  Sunrise was at 8:04 AM and sunset will be at 5:05 PM.
