A Mix Of Sun And Clouds . . . . .

A Mix Of Sun And Clouds . . . . .

We woke to an inch of snow on the ground, however most is gone now.  Temperatures will remain well below average today, in fact, most of this week.  The high today won’t reach much higher than the freezing mark, and strong winds will make it even feel colder.  Now that spring is here, we are getting our winter weather.  I am hearing that we could get a significant amount of snow on Friday, but no one is giving any estimates…

A Little Warmer But Hardly Noticable . . . .

A Little Warmer But Hardly Noticable . . . .

Highs are expected to reach the mid 40s today, but with the wind, it won’t feel like it.  Our morning began with some hazy sun, but now clouds have taken over.  Yesterday brought intermittent flurries and the little snow cover that we had, was gone by late afternoon.  Windy conditions and below normal temperatures are expected through the weekend. Our 1:15 PM temperature is 41°F, the humidity is 49%, and winds are from the SW at 15 to 25 mph. …

Snow Flurries And Cold Temperatures . . . .

Snow Flurries And Cold Temperatures . . . .

Our landscape this morning was white with about half and inch of snow.  Since then, most has melted, but we still have a few flurries in the air.  Temperatures won’t be rising much today, and it really feels like winter.  We can expect this for the remainder of the week. Our 3 PM temperature is 33°F (1°C), the humidity is 68%, and skies are overcast.  Winds are from the NW at 10-16 mph, and the pressure is 29.95 in (1014.2…

A Little More Winter For Us . . . .

A Little More Winter For Us . . . .

We have had a few scattered snow showers today, and now the sun is shining.  With the wind, it really feels like winter again.  We really can’t complain with the lovely weather that we’ve had this winter season, so we have to expect this sometimes.  Highs this week will only reach into the low 40s or upper 30s, so no light jacket weather this week for us. Our 4:15 PM temperature is 38°F (3°C), the humidity is 60%, and skies…

Gloomy And Chilly . . . .

Gloomy And Chilly . . . .

My heart goes out to those in Ohio and Indiana who are victims of the tornadoes last night.  Michigan was lucky once again, and all we got was moderate to heavy rain.  There is one lightning strike showing on my weather station, but it was 15 miles away.  There was 0.40″ in my rain gauge this morning and most of the rain was done by early evening.  Today will still be mild but I don’t think we’ll see much sun,…

A Rainy Day . . . .

A Rainy Day . . . .

The rain began around noon and has continued since then.  Radar is showing that most has been to our north and south, but we have gotten 0.31″ so far.  There is still a moderate, steady rain falling at this time.  The rain should come to an end later tonight, and there is a very slight chance of severe weather up until early evening, but that is mainly for areas south of us. Our 4:15 PM temperature is 51°F, the humidity…

Another Pleasant Day . . .

Another Pleasant Day . . .

We have yet another great day weather-wise.  We could see temperatures reaching very close to 70°F and there should be plenty of sun.  The wind will be fairly light, so it will feel warm.  Yesterday was nice except for the wind, and that made it feel colder than what the thermometer read.  This will be our final nice day; rain will be moving in tomorrow and with it comes much cooler temperatures.  High early next week will only rise into…

Another Springy Day . . . .

Another Springy Day . . . .

We have another great, sunny day and I just hope we don’t pay for this weather in April and May, when it’s supposed to be like this. This winter has been unbelievable for us and I almost feel like I spent winter down south, rather than in Michigan.  Our highs have been constantly above average, and not just a little.  I’m sure that we’ll be breaking another record today. Our 3:30 PM temperature is 71°F, the humidity is 32%, and…

A Beautiful March Day . . . .

A Beautiful March Day . . . .

We have returned to warm, sunny weather.  Highs should reach the mid to upper 50s this afternoon, and we have more 60s coming over the next few days.  This has been a remarkable winter for us.  The most snowpack that we had was about 3 inches, and that melted in a few days.  All the snow from yesterday is gone, and we aren’t expecting any precipitation until Thursday.  There isn’t even any mention of snow.  Temps will be very mild,…

Snow, Wind, And Cold . . . .

Snow, Wind, And Cold . . . .

We woke this morning to a bit of a shock.  Everything was white!  I knew that we were expecting some snow, but I didn’t expect much ground cover.  We have about an inch and the snow showers should be ending soon.  In fact, the sun is now shining and forecasts call for the snow to end by noon.  Highs today won’t even reach the 40s, so I’m not sure how long this snow will last. Our 10:45 AM temperature is…
