A Sunny Morning With Warmer Weather On The Way – Mid Michigan

It is looking like a beautiful morning  with temperatures that almost feel balmy.  We still have about 10 inches of snow cover but that should diminish over the next few days.  We did lose a little yesterday with the sun shining most of the day, and that will continue today and tomorrow with highs expected in the 40s.  It is really starting to look like spring with the position of the sun climbing higher in the sky, and sunset happening after 6 PM now.  Local forecasters are saying that most of the frigid weather should be behind us now and I hope that’s true.

Our 9 AM temp is 29°F (-1°C), the humidity is 81% and skies are clear with a little haze.  Visibility is 5 miles.  The pressure is 30.12 mb (1019.7 mb) and steady.  Winds are from the  SSW at 9 mph and te wind chill is 21°F (-6°C).  Yesterday’s high was 28°F (-2°C) and the overnight low was 24°F (-4°C).  Sunrise was at 7:36 AM and sunset will be at 6:07 PM.  Averages for this date are 29°F / 16°F.  The record high for Feb. 13 is 50°F  set in 1961, and the record low is -16°F set in 1899.
