Yesterday began with clear skies, but it didn’t last long. About 2 PM, the clouds started rolling in, and the radar showed developing small scattered cells of thunderstorms developing , mainly to our south. The Weather Service is telling us to expect some strong storms, possible reaching severe level. We really could use the rain but not damaging winds or hail. Radar is showing a fragmented thunderstorm moving in my direction. In fact, it’s been on the radar for the past 3 hours but doesn’t seem to know where it want’s to go. There was a large red cell which seemed to be coming south from the Midland area, then it showed signs of diminishing.
