The rain began around 9AM and has continued since. Yesterday was quite nice although the sun didn’t last much past noon. But temperatures were mild and we even got some of the lawn mowed. Next week is supposed to bring us a few dry days unless the forecast changes, which happens quite often. But it is what it is. Our 11:30 AM temperature is 53°F (12°C), the humidity is 92%, and winds are from the S at 1-5 mph. The…
We never did get our sunshine yesterday. It peeked out a couple of times for about 15 seconds, and that was it. Someone once told me that the Lansing, MI area is one of the cloudiest places in the US, and I wouldn’t be surprised if that was true. But we will celebrate our sun that we have today, even though it is only for one day. Looking at our forecast for the remainder of the week, there is rain…
We have overcast skies once again but we should see a little sun later, if the local weather gurus are correct. It shouldn’t be too bad of a day with fairly mild temps and light winds. Seeing the sun would definitely make it more pleasant. Yesterday brought us no rain but more is expected by Thursday. We don’t need anymore for awhile but when does that matter? Our 11:30 AM temperature is 47°F (8°C), the humidity is 82%, and winds…
I doesn’t look like we will get much, if any sun today. At least no rain is in our forecast, and tomorrow is supposed to be mostly sunny. We did get some rain late yesterday and overnight, but only 0.15″ was in my gauge. Our fall colors have been ruined by all this rain and we are mainly seeing dull yellow and brown. The hardwood trees are still mostly green, so I’m still hopeful that they will give us more…
After a cloudy, wet Saturday, we are blessed with a little sun this morning. Skies are mostly cloudy but just enough breaks in the clouds to let us know that the sun is alive and well. We had light rain most of Saturday which ended late in the afternoon. We can expect more later today. We were expecting strong winds yesterday which never happened. It was breezy but we never did see gust up to 30 mph as we were…
It rained most of the night after yesterday’s intermittent sprinkles. There was a little over half an inch in my gauge at 8:30, and it’s been raining since then. We have continued light rain at this time and we can expect this for most of the day. Temperatures continue below average and there is no real warmup anytime soon. Our 10:45 AM temperature is 48°F (9°C), the humidity is 96% and skies are overcast. Winds are from the NE at…
It isn’t a very nice day at all. Radar is showing a lot of rain over us and still more coming. None of it is heavy, just enough to be miserable. I wouldn’t mind it if it was just warmer. Our temperatures remain way below where they should be, and this is expected to continue into next week. The prediction for this month was above normal temps and were they ever wrong! The weather usually balances out, so maybe we’ll…
We have dense fog to deal with this morning. There was a little water in my rain gauge but I’m sure it was just condensation. I’m seeing sun trying to appear through the fog so I think it will burn off quickly. Today will be warmer than what we’ve had, but it isn’t expected to last long. In fact, next week is expected to be even colder with highs some days only in the 40s. I guess we can expect…
After a drizzly day on Tuesday, today was supposed to be much better. It looks like the sun is trying to shine but still too many clouds in the way. It was supposed to be partly cloudy this afternoon, and if that’s going to happen, it better hurry. It will probably clear up after dark as usual. Regardless, temps are in the mid 50s and there is very little wind, so really not too bad out there. Our 2:45 PM…
Today will be another chilly and gloomy day. Rain is in the forecast but haven’t seen any yet. This is more like November weather so maybe we’ll get our October weather in November this year. Regardless, it is what it is and complaining will do no good. At least it isn’t as windy today so that’s a good thing. Our 11:15 AM temperature is 48°F (9°C), the humidity is 78%, and skies are cloudy. Winds are from the SW at…
