Mid Michigan Weather

Yesterday wasn’t very pleasant, especially if one had to be outdoors.  Temperatures continued to fall throughout the day and blustery winds added to the mess.  Today will be even colder but the winds won’t be nearly as brisk.  Looking ahead for next week, I see snow in the forecast for Tuesday . . . .nothing major, but snow none the less.  As long as we don’t have to shovel, I really don’t mind.  I’m not seeing any significant warmups, although…

What a difference a day makes.  We went from July weather to November weather in just a few days, but that isn’t unusual for Michigan.  I had my windows open most of the night but today will only see highs in the 50s along with strong winds.  We received 0.37 in of rain yesterday and rain isn’t in the forecast for today.  We could even see a little sun later on. The past two days were very warm and dry, but today will see the end of it.  Our temperatures are still in the 70s but they will be dropping the remainder of the day after another cold front goes through.  We are starting to get a few sprinkles but the heavy rain is showing on radar and heading our way.   This is expected to continue through tonight.  Tomorrow will be dryer but about 20°F colder . We could see highs nearing 80° this afternoon and I’m thinking that this will be it for our very warm temperatures.  Yesterday was cold and wet leaving 0.02″ in my rain gauge.  There is a lot of rain showing on the radar this morning but it is passing to our northwest and it doesn’t appear that any will reach us.  That’s fine with me.  The colors in my area are becoming more vibrant but peak colors should be this upcoming…

Although we did get a few glimpses of the sun yesterday, most of it was gloomy with drizzle.  We had a thunder shower early in the morning but it didn’t last long and the thunder was distant.  There is only 0.09″ in my gauge this morning.  I noticed on CoCoRahs that most areas received a lot more rain than we did.  We do have a rising barometer and I’m hoping that we see a little more sun today. Radar is showing a mass of rain heading our way from the southwest.  We have a little thunder but mostly just heavy rain.  I was lucky to get the dogs out before it began because it looks like it will last a while.  Yesterday was cloudy and misty without much let up through the day.  The only good thing is that temperatures will be very warm, but that doesn’t mean much if it’s raining. Radar is showing a large mass of rain moving in from the southwest.  The past two days have been lovely so at least we got a little break.  My husband managed to get the lawn mowed yesterday.  Today is expected to be wet most of the day along with cool temps.  Some towns in the UP saw snow for the first time yesterday and I hope it is a while before we do.  I’m hearing that we will be seeing…
