Where we have snow, there is about half an inch. But an earlier snow shower gave partial covering to the bare areas and not sure if we’ll get anymore. It is very chilly out there this morning . Our 10:15 AM temp is only 22°F (-6°C) and winds are out of the west northwest at 8 to 13 miles per hour. We had intermittent snow showers most of our Saturday, and we received about another inch of new snow. We now have 2 inches of snow cover. I got up to 1.5 inches of snow on the ground and it’s been snowing steadily since then. I’m guessing that we now have 2+ inches. The birds are having an eating frenzy this morning and I’m glad that I filled all my feeders yesterday. After all the wind yesterday, today is welcome even though our temperatures have dropped significantly. In fact, they dropped from 62°F to 37°F in about 6 hours. At least with temps back in the normal range, that should put an end to all of these storms that have plagued the country this past week. My sunset picture was from Saturday night, the day of the storms. Stormy days seem to produce some of the most beautiful sunsets. Although we received no severe weather here, the winds did a lot of damage to our state and many lost power. We were lucky.
